Collective Courage – Crossover Christmas get-together

The end of the year was such an emotional time for me, full with events. It is also the time when we tend to remember the good things that happened to us through the passing year and one such event is what I want to share with you now here – the Collective Courage Crossover Christmas get-together in Vienna.

Friends, business partners and celebrities gathered for this wonderful occasion to celebrate Christmas together and to present themselves. So, I was given the chance to present something myself, too. Next to promoting my blog I also chose to present the marvellous new collection from my very good friend and a great designer from Bulgaria – Gergana Apostolova from Kiara Fashion. Her magnificent dresses can make any woman wearing them feel like a princess. I wore two of those during the show next to miss Burgenland Miriam Millonig who was also fascinated by them.

Enjoying the last days of 2019

I want to share with you this post in the last days of 2019. With a part of sadness and a part of happiness – on one side because the old year is now over, on the other because a new one is starting, with its new opportunities. Also new challenges, of course.

Instead of repeating cliches regarding the switch of the year, I would like to thank everyone I worked with in the last year and make wishes for the new one. I wish for you the new year to be better than the previous. I wish you that you fulfil all your new year plans. May this year bring new happiness, new goals, new achievements, and a lot of new inspirations for life. Wishing you a year fully loaded with joy and health.

Being in the New Year’s celebrations spirit, I went for red as the dominant color today – red trousers, a soft matching Zara sweater and a coat from one of my favourite brands Napapijri. The outfit goes on with a Michael Kors bag and brown Colloseum shoes with soft tops, in a fashion way.

Silver is trend for this season

I would have never dreamt of wearing anything in silver color, (other than jewellery of course!) if it was not for my blog. But it is my blog that often makes me challenge my own style and comfort level and then only later I begin to like those new styles.

So, as the silver glitter is quite impressive, not only for Christmas decoration but also especially when it comes to accessories and jackets this season, it deeply inspired me. It definitely steals the attention, and the silver clothes are a good option not only for a formal evening out but also you can wear it in more casual combinations, with jeans, pants or casual skirts for example.

I hope you liked my outfit today, especially my silver color jacket and „Primadona“ sneakers. I find the black funky skirt and the black sweater with a silver tiger to match the rest of the outfit nicely. The finish of it all are the Calzedonia silver-shiny tights which I really adore.

Don’t be afraid to choose silver and shine bright like a diamond, in a fashion way!

Christmas mood in Vienna

I am so happy to live for so many years in one of the most beautiful European cities – Vienna, where the magic before Christmas is so compelling. The countless lights and the glamorous decoration, all of it makes your soul realise that Christmas is coming.

I love the small local streets with their small curious shops, that seem to lead you to another world, especially in the evening. Nothing compares to that – magic is all around in the air…

As for my outfit today – I am definitely all about the teddy coats this season and I love this one in pink. It’s so fluffy and cosy, that it makes the Christmas magic mood even more magical. It is safe to say that I’ve never been wrapped up in anything warmer or cosier than this @zara outfit – fake fur trousers, black booties, coat and sweater.

No doubt, I feel like this year my coat wardrobe is consistently expanding, but my favourite one there is always the teddy coat. It’s the thing to go to with almost everything. So If you’re only looking to make a few firm outerwear investments this season, then stake your claim right now for teddy coats, of course, in a fashion way.

Variety of coat trends

The fall-Winter season 2019-2020 brings a variety of coat trends – from the most fashionable coats of the season to the coats that are out of style. Plus those that are still in fashion just because we love them so much.

The teddy bear coat, the faux fur and the oversized coat are some of the most preferred. But there are also a few other winter coats to choose from this winter like checked, plaid and dogtooth detailed. Yes, this winter brought us a bunch of chic and sophisticated coats you can wear. And another bunch of cosy coats that will put you in the Christmas mood the moment you snuggle in or place them around your shoulders. All you need to do now is to find yours.

Today I choose a checkered coat with a simple oversized white soft shirt, a short black skirt to emphasise the outfit and once again my favourite over-knee boots, but this time plain ones.

Love wearing long coats?

I always believed that a long coat is a super versatile piece of clothing that a woman should have in her winter wardrobe. I got convinced about that only after I started wearing one, because a cool, well-fitting long coat instantly elevates my look from super casual to dapper formal.

Moreover, it’s very easy to make an outfit with it – one of my favourite approaches is to just throw the coat over a simple long sweater and a pair of over knee boots – the result is amazing. Such a combination can also work in a formal meeting or event.

Wool is a preferred fabric for such an overcoat. But if you’re planning to wear an overcoat in the summer as well then go for 100% cotton. My coat here is with 50% Camel fur und 50% wool. The style is in your hands – there are many different types of long coats – no hard rules here, you can pick the one you like the most, but pick the length according your figure. The one here is a bit oversized, because I like to wear it with thick layers underneath.

I think a black fedora hat matches to a long coat nicely – it’s a chic and formal addition, in a fashion way.

Fall-winter time – sweater time

It’s that perfect time of the year when it’s brisk enough to pull out a sweater while at the same time not too cold so that you have to hide it under a million layers. Being an oversized sweater lover I go for it pretty often and especially on this occasion in one of my favourite colors – pale pink, which also happens to be very trendy as of late.

So, grab your turtlenecks, mock necks, v-necks, crewnecks, cable knits and more and make your outfit. I match mine with a faux fur cardigan – I’m in love with the cute light pink jacket that i found in Colloseum – i think i can never have enough of those.

It’s very easy to pair every sweater with jeans but in this case I went for leggings in Bordeaux red.

Some of my best sweater accessories are the scarfs – I think they are always a great addition and make an outfit complete. I rarely leave the house in the fall or winter without some kind of scarf – it really goes a long way in pulling your look together, but if you find that your outfits are often lacking that “something special” I would recommend investing in a few scarves! Here my choice for it is a snake printed one, also pretty trendy now.

I finish my outfit’s go-to combination with black overknee boots and cute Monki bag, of course, in a fashion way.

Adding some leopard pattern

Never thought I’d see the day when I would reach for leopard prints, but these shoes are so comfortable and cute, that I couldn’t resist.

I thought it’s fun to add some trendy prints to the accessories, especially when the rest of the outfit is more neutral. There are many different kinds or boots, high heels or sneakers with similar prints, but I like this one which makes the figure elegant and gracious, just like the walk of a real leopard.

To highlight the shoes in this outfit I chose a black tunic from one of my favourite brands and transparent Calzedonia leggings, which I find to be a great combination. I match them, of course, with one of my this season best-loved teddy cosy coats – this time in beige.

Teddy coat trend

All over the streets, the teddy coat has been worn by various faces. It’s clear that this new outwear has taken over today’s street style and almost everyone likes it.

The teddy jacket trend revolves around the look of a cozy, faux fur coat that seems to resemble a teddy bear, hence the appropriate name. The trend that started back in 2016 is still around with its classic style while at the same time evolving into different colors, shapes and silhouettes.

After the fall of 2018, it was clear that the appeal of the teddy coat has tremendously increased. The coat also goes by other names such as faux fur, soft fur jacket, sherpas, teddy coat and any fuzzy descriptive phrases.

As the teddy coat comes with a lot of versatility, allowing for any person to incorporate their personal touch, influencers and celebrities also manage to style theirs in their own way in order to hop on the trend.

All that said – will this trend last? I would say it will stay, for several reasons – it’s cosy, comfortable and warm – ideal for the cold months; at the same time it’s street style and fashionable; it keeps being promoted for already several years in a row, and last but far from least – it is fake leather, no animals harmed.

In the upcoming years, the teddy coat may become even more of a „classic staple“ just like the leather jacket in the past. When buying clothes I always consider if I would be able to wear them more than one season, but with this one I have no worries – I know, no matter the color or style, it will keep finding the way out of my wardrobe.

My outfit today is, of course, with a soft faux fur hooded coat in a yellow trendy color, matched with my always favourite, no matter the brand, skinny jeans from Only and a checkered dark blue shirt (again a trendy color) and black Michael Kors sock sneakers.

How to wear a rust colored sweater

Today I made my look with one of my favourite sweaters in rust color, because it’s very popular this season. This color is one of the trendiest colors in the fall/winter 2019. If such a sweater doesn’t work for you, you should be able to find something similar in that color, in a cut or fit that works better for you. Now, onto the outfit!

I love how this type of sweater looks against black faux leather leggings!

Faux leather leggings are back for the fall in new on-trend colors and prints and they
continue to be a wardrobe essential. They manage to imitate the look and feel of real leather very well and are making life a lot easier being so comfortable and versatile. I like to wear leggings with tops that are longer – relaxed sweaters like this one are just perfect.

Meanwhile this sweater would go very well also with black or blue skinny jeans.

To make the outfit really pop, I also went for black accessories – a black Victoria Secrets bag and a Gucci belt. To finish I added my comfy Zara black block heels booties.

This look would of course also work with any of these trendy colors for the sweater – mustard, olive, mocha, grey, and a happy yellow. Try it in a fashion way!
