What a way to start April

The spring is just around the corner, but not quite yet and on the 1st of April in Vienna it is like winter. After the long winter I can’t wait to welcome the spring and to put the coats away, but even though the astronomical spring is already here, it’s still cold like a sweater time. Still, I have put away from my wardrobe my thick sweaters and left only couple of jackets, hoping those are the last days of the coat season.

One of my favorite looks at this time of the year is fake leather pants with a simple sweatshirt and a warm coat. For this outfit I chose white cream Zara fake leather leggings with a cool Pull & Bear sweatshirt and topped them with a matching Burberry rain-friendly Jacket, MONKI teddy coat, Bershka boots and a Zara cute bag, all in cream in a fashionway.

Checkerboard print

Since the start of the Corona pandemic in 2020 we have seen so many aspects of our lives change – our day to day life, our ability to see friends and family and how we work. And of course, the lockdowns have changed fashion from how we see it to how we buy it. Me for instance – I started favouring the more comfortable every day clothes and buying many things online thus missing the enjoyment of the the real shopping activity. Somehow life started looking like a black & white photo – lacking variety… Or like chess, where we have to do only certain moves. In that line of thought, the checkerboard print, which is very trendy and almost everywhere now, fits perfectly to that fashion and I like it. I found these checkerboard wide leg relaxed fit jeans and a fluffy Jacket by MONKI and matched them with cream Bershka boots and a small Pimki bag, in a fashionway.

Casual business look

I have always admired the business woman who knows how to impress, not only with her skill and competence, but also with her looks. So, today I dive into another form of outfit – the casual business look.

The outfit is simple (as my usual style is), but classic and girly at the same time. I chose a formal white Zara shirt and a matching long sweater, an affordable black Pinko bag as an accent that can hold all my goodies and a pair of neutral beige Pimpkie boots. Note: I am really obsessed with wearing such a combination – long shirt and a sweater. I finished the look with a long classic Zara cream-beige coat – no matter the season such a coat is always a good choice and also can be styled either as casual or as formal, in a fashionway.

Sweater season is here

I can’t believe that the summer flew away so fast and the sweater season is already upon us. This transformation every year is very difficult for me and that’s why I am still trying to keep my outfits not too dolled up with winter clothes but warm enough for the weather.

Such is my outfit today – an oversized sweater matched with a coat in a simple way. This white lovely TEZENIS sweater fits great with this Zara Braun coat. The Kemal Tanca boots and bag make the outfit complete, in a fashion way.

Spring outfit with knitted overall

With the temperatures increasing a little bit down here in Vienna, my excitement about the coming spring makes me wish to start choosing light clothes, but it is not really warm enough to switch to the spring pieces. As much as I want to start stashing away the winter sweaters and tops, the fresh weather right now gave me the chance to put on this brown knitted Zara overall. It is still a great choice for the early spring – keeps you warm while giving you the opportunity to show some legs. Moreover such knitted pieces like shorts, cropped tops, overalls, etc. are very trendy.

I matched my overall with a black turtleneck body and black accessories – a cute MONKI bag, black gloves, Pimkie boots and topped it with a white teddy coat in a fashionway.

Jeans shirt with slouchy high waist jeans

Do you have the feeling that in these crazy Corona times we are less and less motivated to dress up well enough? Our old lifestyle has gone and with it the desire to look good. The few times when we do go out, it is for shopping (as much as shops are open right now), or maybe for a small walk, and then we just put on whatever we find quick with the idea that there is anyway no-one that will see us, moreover with a mask. Still, we should take care of our looks, at least because it gives us some so-needed self-confidence.

Here’s one comfortable look from me today. If you are wondering how to combine a jeans shirt in winter – it’s easy – a good sweater on top and jeans for the bottom match perfectly. A classic sweater with collar look. The one I have on, is a Pimkie cream cable sweater with shoulder details. As for the jeans I chose these trendy slouchy high waist ones also from Pimkie, that being so unorthodox are still very comfortable. The whole outfit I topped with a short beige MONKI jacket, brown velvet Zara boots, whose color works very well as an accent and a black Zara bag.

White on white

The white on white look is one of my favorite trends. It is so versatile and stylish that you should not miss out on making one yourself. Here I made a winter one to inspire you.

I have a selection of jackets that I rotate throughout the winter and this simple white piece is one that I wear with great pleasure. I paired it with a nice classic white hoodie dress in almost same color. I like the oversized sweater and hoodie dress trend because you don’t have to think about matching the bottoms. But only white pieces are not enough to make your look great – don’t forget appropriate complementing accessories – a they always make you look outstanding.

I had to choose between my black and white Michael Kors boots and the all white Bershka ones, eventually going for the latter, combining them with funky Calzedonia tights. Personally, when making a one-color outfit I love to make it a little bit sexy in order to avoid being boring and here the tights make their best.

If you want shoes, bags, and jewelry to match with your white outfit, then I recommend going for lighter shades of classic hues. You can, for instance, try on white like me, grey, nude, silver and gold.

To complete the outfit I topped it with my black and white J‘ADIOR bag, in a fashionway.

Jeans forever

No matter time of the year or the year itself, jeans are always in season.

I have vivid memories of my childhood how different the jeans were – classic or special, stonewashed, high-waisted with a button-fly, bride or loose tapered legs. And as the fashion tends to come back after some years, now we have the high waisted jeans back, just like in the old times.

I found those 80‘s skinny, slim fit, high waisted jeans in horizon blue by Zara and almost felt the fashion from the times of my mother. There is one small difference though – in the past, when my grandma saw a cut or a hole in my jeans, first thing she said was it needs to be patched – now those are made intentional and fashionable.

I matched them with my favourite black – a black stretched Zara body, a black Michael Kors blazer, black boots and as a final touch a cute brown bag from MONKI with a brown Gucci belt. All in all a casual outfit, matched in a fashionway.

Dressing room in a fashionway

I have always dreamed of a dedicated dressing room space and now, in our new house, it is slowly becoming a reality. I decided to have the furniture in a modern white finish, which I find perfect for storing clothes and accessories – towers with shelves, hang areas, drawers, open shelving as well as shoe and bag shelving. It is still a work in progress, so follow my posts for updates…

Once everything is installed, I am going to work on filling my room – shoes and folded items, like sweaters and jeans stored in the open shelving, long dresses and pants I will
place on the hanging rod; and my most frequently used fall-winter outwear I will move to the center of my closet for quick and easy access.

The all-so-needed black-and-white dog-tooth armchair is already in place. At the end I’ll put the finishing touches on my new space by adding a nice white bench, a rug, and some cute decorations amidst my accessories, in a fashionway.

Cute dress and casual plain boots

A pair of boots are year-round wardrobe staples both for warmer or cold months – from classic white boots to the over the knee ones. Such are the timeless combat boots – a season-less pair which work with any outfit – even with a nice dress.

I have always considered that a nice black dress matches in the best way with heels but depending on the occasion it can work great with boots too. As I am so much in love with my super comfortable MONKI black boots (that I featured in an earlier sports outfit post), this time I rounded up another style of outfit with a black Zara flounce, volan dress of course in a fashion way.

There’s nothing like a pair of chunky black boots to add some edge to a cute dress.
