Oversized overshirt

I love jackets, coats and shackets and I now added also overshirts to that list. Those used to be something for men to wear, but this lightweight jacket trend seems to have moved over to women’s wardrobes too nowadays. It surely comes out to be a good first early-spring purchase.

Overshirt jackets are the trend you can see almost everywhere right now – it’s just about finding the right one in the right color, if you like this style. With nice big bright checks or in plain color, an overshirt jacket, with or without a collar will work on top of everything you currently have and will give you a fresh update in your wardrobe.

I found one of mine in Zara – a black and white wool blend checkered shirt with big pockets. Honestly I did not expect it to be so comfortable and warm for such a type of jacket. I combined it with a white Bershka hoodie, black faux leather Calzedonia pants, white Bershka block heel booties and a black and white bag. More or less the whole outfit is styled in black and white. This look proves that a black and white combination does not need to be boring.

Walking into new year with style

It was a year where we have been urged to stay at home, spend more time at home and work from home. Our real life social interactions have been interrupted. That’s why my last post for this year is also from home.

Yes, it was an unusual year – good from one side, bad from the other. But I always try to find and focus on the positive side – despite all lockdowns, we moved in our new house, I finally managed to spend more time with my family and got to do things at home which I always postponed. I also worked on my blogger room, which I desired for so long and finally sorted out the clothes that were in a complete mess as I never had time to organise them proper.

Two days before the New Year’s Eve I want to wish you, first of all, health and then everything else you desire. And don’t forget – stay true to you, to your style and, no matter if at home or somewhere else, walk into new year with style!

Today I felt like putting on the classic little black dress with black heels and a Gucci bag in a fashionway.

Golden autumn

Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons (Jim Bishop). Yes, it’s true – the autumn has many lovely colors in the gold palette and inspires us with its beauty.

How do you assemble your autumn outfits? It’s the season when one minute we’re too hot, and the next it’s not. So, what’s a woman to do? We should be clever with our ideas – try to nail the „in between seasons“ sweet spot when matching our outfits. We could on one side keep the passing warm weather feeling, for instance with a pair of shorts, while at the same time stepping into the winter season by choosing a warmer sweater and a fluffy jacket. I chose some autumn colors – burgundy/rosewood for the sweater, golden yellow for the shirt and jacket, black faux fur shorts and black accessories, matched in a fashionway.

Pink, pinker, pinkest – Pinko

The pink panther is a TV character from my childhood known also as “Pinko”. Since wearing Pinko brand clothes and accessories some years ago, I always related the two. For that reason my post today is in front of this fantastic graffiti which fits the cool pinko bag „love me tender“. As the bag itself is unique and the highlight of the outfit, the rest of my look is in simple black and white – a basic Zara T-shirt with padded shoulders, black short pants and a La Bottine pantolettes, matched in a fashionway.

Bikinis, one-piece or something else

I always wondered which swimsuit suits me better – bikinis or a whole swimsuit. Truth be told, I never fancied being long ours in the sun, neither am I an avid swimmer – so, I have always wanted something in-between. This summer I found these fancy swim-ready top and swimming panties, who are both comfortable and looking great at the pool.

Moreover, the black and white combination has always been one of my favourites – it works great with different outfits, but it does so also for swimsuits, in a fashionway. I can’t forget to mention the black sunglasses with their trendy form, that I like very much. I hope you like it!

Super cute colors for a cute look

You can always have a full game with each of these sweet currently trendy colors – yellow, pink, blue, mint. They look beautiful together as much as they look beautiful by themselves. I chose accessories in these candy colors in order to wear them with different outfits all summer long – yellow-pink-blue block heels, a sweet pink bag and fashy hat in white-pink-blue. Today I matched my cute accessories with a little white dress in a fashionway and I am eager to match them with other outfits further. Have you already chosen your favourite sweet cute colors for the summer?

Love a pop of color

I love wearing yellow in the summer, no matter if it’s on trend or not, because yellow and the sunshine are worth abounding. Yellow like: yellow sun, yellow summer, yellow sunflowers, yellow submarine, yellow summer time, yellow summer sunset…

I found this comfy velour set at Zara, then hopped into some matching heels and grabbed my lovely small Love Moschino bag. This is one of those sets which every woman should have in her wardrobe – just pull it out and you are ready to go. I love such outfits where you do not need to think how to combine them – a top plus shorts or skirt and voila – you are all set for an impromptu meet-up.

There is always a reason to smile

No matter the season, month or day, I think we can always find ourselves a reason to smile, because when you laugh and love life, life laughs and loves you back :).

Smiling makes us look younger, it can relieve stress, boost our mood, trick our brain to focus on positive thinking and possibly bring many more benefits. But the thing I like most about smiling is it makes us more attractive.

Remember that a smile is the prettiest thing you can wear. Hence, next to wearing your nicest clothes you should never forget finding a reason for putting on your smile, too!

When in doubt be elegant in black

Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious like Yohji Yamamoto have said. I know it’s a quote that is used very often, but I use it too because black will always be black – not only modest, but also trendy and elegant and many more meanings in one.

I like fresh and sweet colours, but honestly I wear black very often. Black gives me the security that I can just put it on without worrying too much about the outfit – I can be ready quickly for going out, no matter the season or the occasion. And also because black will always stay trendy and fashionable, I can focus on the style instead of the trends.

Today I want to show you a piece that will stay forever in style if black – a trouser-skirt. It is also so comfortable and „fairy“, it makes me feel like I am wearing my home pijama, but in a very elegant style. It can also be combined with almost every top or shirt. I just take a short laced one to show the shape of the trouser-skirt.

And remember, women who wear black lead colorful lives 🙂

A cardigan is always a loved piece

As the weather in may still varies a lot, a light cardigan is always a good piece to have around. But being very comfortable, a cardigan can also be very tricky and can easily ruin our outfit – that’s why you should know how to wear it without looking funny and frumpy.

The first thing is to figure out the style and length of the cardigan that fits best your body type. As with everything else about fashion, women’s bodes are different, so certain styles would be more flattering on some than others. That’s why you should learn what works best for your own body.

And it’s good to wear form-fitting clothes underneath a cardigan, or tight or belted dresses. Especially if the cardigan is a bit slouchy, you have to make sure the silhouette underneath it is form-fitting, otherwise you might look larger than you are.

The next thing to pay attention to is the fit of the arms – my favourites are the ones that have skinnier arms and feel the most slimming.

Also, feel free to show some skin – especially when most of the rest of your body is covered up. It’s more about what you put under your cardigan than the style of the cardigan itself. For example – if you combine with a turtleneck top – choose a sleeveless one, with open shoulders or collar bones. If you wear a normal shirt don’t cover the neckline with a scarf – show some skin instead.

In all that you should still pay attention to the current trends – right now, open cardigans are pretty hot – with holes, semi-transparent and with a different length on both sides.

I chose a holed pale pink cardigan, matched it with a black sleeveless turtleneck top underneath and skinny jeans. Of course, I can’t miss the accessories because they complete the outfit – a long necklace and earrings with a matching bracelet, sunglasses and a bag and shoes with the same colors and details.
