Shine on!

Shine on…. Not just today, but every day!

On this day I want to quote one of my favourite slogans: „Don’t walk into a room full of people and wonder if they like you. Look around and wonder if YOU like them!“. I believe that’s enough to feel like an incredible woman.

And don’t forget – behind every successful woman is herself!

Congratulations on the occasion of March 8, dear lovely women!

Have a wonderful Women’s Day!

The shacket

The oversized shirt jacket or shacket, similar to a blazer, has probably been all over your social network feeds and for good reason, too. This easy-to-wear style is just perfect for your winter/spring layering outfits.

Often seen in plaid or buffalo check, this is one of the season’s most seen over clothes.

When styling the shacket, think of it like a blazer. It’s a good idea to keep it oversized and layered it over a turtleneck top. I love my blue shacket from Zara in this oversized-look and wear it with slim fit faux leather pants, denim or leggings, matched with turtleneck sweaters or turtleneck tank tops. This outfit I finished with my favourite black combat Zara boots and a stylish Fendi black bag, in a fashionway.

Why not?

This week the temperature outside is sub-zero, there is the ongoing lockdown, but a why not a walk outside, when properly dressed, of course. My pictures today are from Stadtpark in Vienna – a favourite place of mine for a stroll.

A thick coat and a sweater, warm pants and good shoes and… what else… a cute beanie! I am once more with my winter NA-KD coat, a C&A sweater, faux leather pants from Calzedonia, a great pair of high combat boots matched with a bag from Zara and of course everything combined in a fashionway.

Oversized overshirt

I love jackets, coats and shackets and I now added also overshirts to that list. Those used to be something for men to wear, but this lightweight jacket trend seems to have moved over to women’s wardrobes too nowadays. It surely comes out to be a good first early-spring purchase.

Overshirt jackets are the trend you can see almost everywhere right now – it’s just about finding the right one in the right color, if you like this style. With nice big bright checks or in plain color, an overshirt jacket, with or without a collar will work on top of everything you currently have and will give you a fresh update in your wardrobe.

I found one of mine in Zara – a black and white wool blend checkered shirt with big pockets. Honestly I did not expect it to be so comfortable and warm for such a type of jacket. I combined it with a white Bershka hoodie, black faux leather Calzedonia pants, white Bershka block heel booties and a black and white bag. More or less the whole outfit is styled in black and white. This look proves that a black and white combination does not need to be boring.

Jeans forever

No matter time of the year or the year itself, jeans are always in season.

I have vivid memories of my childhood how different the jeans were – classic or special, stonewashed, high-waisted with a button-fly, bride or loose tapered legs. And as the fashion tends to come back after some years, now we have the high waisted jeans back, just like in the old times.

I found those 80‘s skinny, slim fit, high waisted jeans in horizon blue by Zara and almost felt the fashion from the times of my mother. There is one small difference though – in the past, when my grandma saw a cut or a hole in my jeans, first thing she said was it needs to be patched – now those are made intentional and fashionable.

I matched them with my favourite black – a black stretched Zara body, a black Michael Kors blazer, black boots and as a final touch a cute brown bag from MONKI with a brown Gucci belt. All in all a casual outfit, matched in a fashionway.

One sleeve shirt – yes or no?

Every season a new model of shirt becomes more popular than others – one of them right now is the one sleeve shirt. I have always thought that it’s extremely uncomfortable – you don’t really know for season it is made – one side being like for the summer, while the other like for the cold times. But I think it’s really suits well for the autumn.

With this shirt you get the feeling that it is still summer (I like that very much because don’t want it to go), but at the same time you have a long sleeve on, well suited for the present times. What can be better? I like it also because it’s eye-catching and it’s matchable with lots of things – jeans, skirts, etc. I matched it with cool balloon jeans, open shoes tied trendily to the jeans and a really comfortable belly bag. Belly bags are not only trendy but also very practical. Hope you like this outfit, matched in a fashionway.

Tender pastel purple

I am so in love with the pastel colors this season that I would wear every day something in this palette.

I found this sweet dress by Zara – trendy, comfortable and easy matchable with the accessories. I top it off with black block heeled sandals, colorful bag as an accent, dainty simple earrings, black sunglasses and nude, minimal makeup for a fresh look. As this September is still warm like in the summer time, this outfit keeps me comfy yet stylish at the same time, in a fashionway.

Dear summer, please don’t go!

Summertime is like a song for me – it plays in my mind until the next one comes. This year, because we moved in a new house and we thus missed the vacation season – the summer slipped away unnoticed. And now September tries its best to make us forget the summer – but I will nevertheless try to keep the feeling – by enjoying the sunshine, swimming and having some rest at home by the pool.

By the way I think that this baby pink colour is so sweet, even for a swimsuit. The flower parreo in pastel colors matches nicely in a fashionway.

Bikinis, one-piece or something else

I always wondered which swimsuit suits me better – bikinis or a whole swimsuit. Truth be told, I never fancied being long ours in the sun, neither am I an avid swimmer – so, I have always wanted something in-between. This summer I found these fancy swim-ready top and swimming panties, who are both comfortable and looking great at the pool.

Moreover, the black and white combination has always been one of my favourites – it works great with different outfits, but it does so also for swimsuits, in a fashionway. I can’t forget to mention the black sunglasses with their trendy form, that I like very much. I hope you like it!

Light and easy

There are certain pieces that I would happily wear the whole summer, just like my jumpsuit today. It’s light, comfortable and I do not need to think how to combine it. In addition the colors are very neutral, nature-like and still, I can both wear it for a walk in the park, as well as a casual outfit for the streets. And for the hot summer days for me it is important not only to have fashionable but also practical clothes.

I combined it with one of my favourite Fracomina jeans bag and Stradivarius block heels with transparent straps. Of course, the sunglasses are always a welcome addition in the summer days.

So, it’s really good to have some airy, easygoing and casual pieces in our wardrobes wich we can wear in an easy fashionway.
