Enjoying the last days of 2019

I want to share with you this post in the last days of 2019. With a part of sadness and a part of happiness – on one side because the old year is now over, on the other because a new one is starting, with its new opportunities. Also new challenges, of course.

Instead of repeating cliches regarding the switch of the year, I would like to thank everyone I worked with in the last year and make wishes for the new one. I wish for you the new year to be better than the previous. I wish you that you fulfil all your new year plans. May this year bring new happiness, new goals, new achievements, and a lot of new inspirations for life. Wishing you a year fully loaded with joy and health.

Being in the New Year’s celebrations spirit, I went for red as the dominant color today – red trousers, a soft matching Zara sweater and a coat from one of my favourite brands Napapijri. The outfit goes on with a Michael Kors bag and brown Colloseum shoes with soft tops, in a fashion way.

Christmas mood in Vienna

I am so happy to live for so many years in one of the most beautiful European cities – Vienna, where the magic before Christmas is so compelling. The countless lights and the glamorous decoration, all of it makes your soul realise that Christmas is coming.

I love the small local streets with their small curious shops, that seem to lead you to another world, especially in the evening. Nothing compares to that – magic is all around in the air…

As for my outfit today – I am definitely all about the teddy coats this season and I love this one in pink. It’s so fluffy and cosy, that it makes the Christmas magic mood even more magical. It is safe to say that I’ve never been wrapped up in anything warmer or cosier than this @zara outfit – fake fur trousers, black booties, coat and sweater.

No doubt, I feel like this year my coat wardrobe is consistently expanding, but my favourite one there is always the teddy coat. It’s the thing to go to with almost everything. So If you’re only looking to make a few firm outerwear investments this season, then stake your claim right now for teddy coats, of course, in a fashion way.

Red passion on a wedding day

Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness – they’re the ones who deserve special place in your heart …

And because I am happy for the happiness of other people, today I want to share with you a special event which I attended – the wedding of two close friends.

The place was magnificent – Vila Vita Panonia – a hotel and a holiday village situated in Burgenland, on the sunny side of Austria. Not only the place, but also the organisation, the guests and friends – everything was amazing. One of the most existing things was of course the ceremony- like in the movies, on a small island in the lake, with the bride coming over a bridge with her father leading her – really like in a fairy tale…

We are waiting so long for this day – still when its there everything passes so quickly, like in a dream. But I like to say that the big emotions are hidden in the preparations for such an event.

I usually don’t fancy the red color, but for this occasion I wanted to wear a long red passion dress and wanted it to be really extraordinary elegant and beautiful. The length, the Schleif, the form and every small detail were important for me because I wanted to look perfect – for which I am extremely grateful to Alegra fashion who made the dress. And so I felt – walking with my husband – exceptionally good and like a princess, but in a modern variant, of course, in a fashionway.

Friday night: dress casual to impress

My outfit today is not a daily one, but something different – a night-out outfit.

The weather outside is really summertime and I would not want to stay the whole evening in a warm and uncomfortable outfit. Thats why I choose a look in which I feel well and is also fun – a sexy bra top, white blazer and transparent cycling pants. To be honest I have never been a fan of these pants, but wearing them in a proper classy way with blazer and high heels is a trendy style that I like very much.

What about you? Would you also wear cycling pants and do you have a favourite bra top with which you are more provoking and would you take a similar challenge in a fashionway?

Here is my book – „I was born for this“!

I am talking always about fashion, style, lifestyle, trends, etc, but for me it is very important also to think how to be a beautiful woman both outside and inside. Someone could say reading books is old-fashioned – nearly all information can be found online nowadays, books including – but i still like it, especially books that inspire me.

Walking into a bookstore I feel very much like walking into a fashion store. The shelves are lined with the wisdom inside that each author has spent a ot of time on, like the clothes arranged in the shop by color, collection, also ingeniously crafted by the designers. A good book can fill my soul just as good as a beautiful outlook is a pleasure to my eyes.

In one of those visits to the book shop I found my special book – just as if it was dedicated to me – „I was born for this“ and I took it as a sign of destiny, because the fashion lives in me and I was born to do everything with fashion in a fashionway.

Concerning my outfit here – I just have to point out to my favourite and actual silver shoes and bag, combined with casual Patricia Pepe beige jeans and a military green pullover with matching silver elements.

Shades of grey

Although it’s already May, the weather shows its grey side. That’s why my outfit today is based on the shades of grey – grey socks, grey jacket , grey ⭐ star . But my mood still has colour, because despite of the bad weather that comes and goes so easily, the summer is just around the corner. And – days like these make me work hard – write, read and plan, of course with the focus always on fashion.

So, if you look at the grey shades from their good side, like every dark cloud they could have a silver lining and work out. That’s why – think positive, find something good in every day and don’t forget your own fashion way!

Feeling lazy and casual today

There are some days when you wake up and you’re just like „nope, not today“, especially when it rains and the mood goes down. You just want to go outside, casual and lazy and don’t think about your outfit too much.

My „nope“ today means „no“ to the bad mood. There is something good in every day and every weather. Let‘s smile, wear funny casual clothes ans enjoy the spring time with all it’s beauty. And what does spring beauty mean – blooming flowers, wonderful inspiring smells, freshness everywhere even from the falling rain.

For me, one of the symbols of spring is the lilac bush, adding abundant color to the landscape and scent the air with fragrance. It makes me also especially very happy because violet with all its nuances, bright or dark, is one of trending spring colors. It can be easily combined with neutral ones like grey, white and beige, but meanwhile a combination with gold ot metallic is also perfect. In addition a well combined natural mix between green and violet also deserves a compliment and look elegant in a fashion way.

Blogger’s life

People often ask me what is a real blogger’s life like actually and what am I doing all the time. As a blogger I constantly have a feeling I’m doing a thousand different things, 24/7. Those include for example writing articles and concepts, doing market research, taking care of my social networks, discussing outfits, do planning, organising and making my photo shoots, organising my travels, as well as many other things. Yes, the work and the responsibilities are a lot, but I am happy with this, as it also continuously brings me experience and knowledge, as well as many new friends and good contacts. And when you do something with your heart, like I do, things always work out at the end.

Reaching the conclusion that I have to do what makes me happy at my work, fulfils me not only professionally, but also personally – because gaining positive energy from what I do, as well as investing it back, I am able to pass it on to the people around me. I like how i feel after a long day of work – I might be exhausted, but at the same time happy that I have accomplished something. Every new project, each new thing, even if it is just a small step forward, for me is like a big leap.

To round it up: to achieve something good efforts are needed and such efforts require proper attitude – mine is always to give my best for what i love to do.

Making a selfie

I always found it difficult to make a decent selfie – even though it looks very easy and most bloggers do it very well.

Getting a great shot of your outfit can be harder than it looks, as it‘s difficult to fit the whole body unless it‘s mirror selfie. It is also hard to avoid the surroundings and the position holding the phone sometimes ruins the whole picture. One has to learn the tricks, tips and the tools available for making a good shot.

That said, I like it and taking selfies is fun – it’s also a quick and easy way to share something from myself. Today, I am wearing one of my favorite „Selfie“ T-shirt with a cool print, Jeans and rough shoes in which I‘m in love and of course trying to make some selfies. At the end, the professional camera, as you can see, is always the best way for a good shot.

Carnival in Lanaken and Valkenburg

I want to share with you a great experience I had in the last days in Holland and Belgium – the Carnival. In Holland, Carnival is a holiday mainly celebrated in the south of the country in the the provinces Limburg and Noord-Brabant. The inhabitants take the Carnival celebrations very seriously – they prepare a lot and make it very well organised – they dance, sing and drink, wearing colorful outfits.

Every year the Carnival has its Prince – the Prince of Carnival, who for three days, together with his subjects celebrates the temporary establishment of their Kingdom of Fools. Merrymakers make their way from pub to pub and greet the Prince Carnival with three cheers of “Alaaf”.

In Belgium the festival goes in a very similar manner like in the Netherlands – I had the chance to enjoy the fun at a local street party in Lanaken. Every year people all over France and Belgium celebrate Carnival by dressing up in vibrant costumes, striking hats and masks in a tradition that goes back centuries.

The festival has its origins in the Christian custom of giving up something for Lent. Also known as Mardi Gras, the annual event is staged to mark the beginning of a 40-day period of abstinence. And although the most famous parades are the ones staged in New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro, the people of Belgium are also dab hands at creating a spectacle for the yearly celebration.
