Why not?

This week the temperature outside is sub-zero, there is the ongoing lockdown, but a why not a walk outside, when properly dressed, of course. My pictures today are from Stadtpark in Vienna – a favourite place of mine for a stroll.

A thick coat and a sweater, warm pants and good shoes and… what else… a cute beanie! I am once more with my winter NA-KD coat, a C&A sweater, faux leather pants from Calzedonia, a great pair of high combat boots matched with a bag from Zara and of course everything combined in a fashionway.

Oversized overshirt

I love jackets, coats and shackets and I now added also overshirts to that list. Those used to be something for men to wear, but this lightweight jacket trend seems to have moved over to women’s wardrobes too nowadays. It surely comes out to be a good first early-spring purchase.

Overshirt jackets are the trend you can see almost everywhere right now – it’s just about finding the right one in the right color, if you like this style. With nice big bright checks or in plain color, an overshirt jacket, with or without a collar will work on top of everything you currently have and will give you a fresh update in your wardrobe.

I found one of mine in Zara – a black and white wool blend checkered shirt with big pockets. Honestly I did not expect it to be so comfortable and warm for such a type of jacket. I combined it with a white Bershka hoodie, black faux leather Calzedonia pants, white Bershka block heel booties and a black and white bag. More or less the whole outfit is styled in black and white. This look proves that a black and white combination does not need to be boring.

Pretty with pink

Pink – right now a color with all sorts of trendy connotations. Pale pink, normal pink , girly pink, piggie pink, neon pink, millennial pink – for some time now almost all I see is pink. Millennial pink, to be more precise. It has come to a point where I’m starting to somehow like it. Maybe I’ve become infected?

As I have found out, millennial pink is the color of millennials. Come to think of it, I would say that the clues were there all along. Pink as a little girl, pink in my teens and now – pink everywhere around me and especially on Instagram – nevertheless I never got tired of it and love it all the same.

Contrary to the piggy and girly pink of the recent ears, the millennial pink is a pastel tone with a touch of peach and a slight salmon shade.

The pink, being millennial or other type, I like wearing in any combination, but never being dressed fully in pink like a big pink candy. I like combining this sweet color with some other colors – for instance with white like here and accented accessories. I choose the jeans ones, namely jeans over-knee boots and a jeans bag.

As you already know, I love animals and for this shoot a dog of a friend of mine posed together with me – of course also dressed in a trendy millennial pink jacket. We looked so well together that people who saw us came to us asking for which media we are making the shoot, so I even had to sign some cards :).

Classy and cool day time look in black and brown

Isn’t it crazy how you can transform a casual T-shirt and jeans look to casual chic almost instantaneously as soon as you throw on a faux fur and a teddy coat? There is something about the black and brown tones and faux fur that gives an elegant, romantic and feminine feel. I feel absolutely darling in that faux leather pants and teddy coat combined with the black flat casual booties.

Fashion trends come and go, but one that retains its timeless style is the fake fur. Such a jacket is a statement outwear any fashionista should have when the temperatures start to drop. And also a good faux puff-piece could not only keep you nice and snug, but it could also single handedly glam up any ensemble.

From teddy to oversized jackets, to vibrant colors and funky chic patterns / prints – this is one cold-weather piece your wardrobe needs.

I have already rounded up some of my favourite stylish fake fur outfits and inspirations to help you rock this furry trend, in a fashionway – a dark brown teddy coat, a beige sweater, black Pimkie faux fur leather backpipe pants, a Gucci scarf, a black Pinko bag and a pair of cool flat booties.

Christmas mood in Vienna

I am so happy to live for so many years in one of the most beautiful European cities – Vienna, where the magic before Christmas is so compelling. The countless lights and the glamorous decoration, all of it makes your soul realise that Christmas is coming.

I love the small local streets with their small curious shops, that seem to lead you to another world, especially in the evening. Nothing compares to that – magic is all around in the air…

As for my outfit today – I am definitely all about the teddy coats this season and I love this one in pink. It’s so fluffy and cosy, that it makes the Christmas magic mood even more magical. It is safe to say that I’ve never been wrapped up in anything warmer or cosier than this @zara outfit – fake fur trousers, black booties, coat and sweater.

No doubt, I feel like this year my coat wardrobe is consistently expanding, but my favourite one there is always the teddy coat. It’s the thing to go to with almost everything. So If you’re only looking to make a few firm outerwear investments this season, then stake your claim right now for teddy coats, of course, in a fashion way.

Something checkered – yes, of course!

Checkered pants or leggings – I’m going for both . They are just beautiful and almost everyone is wearing them because they have this chic vibe to them. French style mixed with retro, they are like this fashion challenge everyone’s doing, wearing them to fit their own looks. Some girls wear them with sneakers, some go for heels; some wear them relaxed and chic, while others go for sleek office formal styles.

I like wearing them on different occasions, but today I am going in a city street style and match my checkered Calzedonia leggings with a simple black shirt, accessories and once again one of my favorite teddy coats – the one in yellow.

For achieving a classic look with such kind of pants, grab a basic shirt or singlet out from the back of your wardrobe and pair it with them. White, grey, naxy, black and tan tops are also great options, matched in a fashion way.

Teddy coat trend

All over the streets, the teddy coat has been worn by various faces. It’s clear that this new outwear has taken over today’s street style and almost everyone likes it.

The teddy jacket trend revolves around the look of a cozy, faux fur coat that seems to resemble a teddy bear, hence the appropriate name. The trend that started back in 2016 is still around with its classic style while at the same time evolving into different colors, shapes and silhouettes.

After the fall of 2018, it was clear that the appeal of the teddy coat has tremendously increased. The coat also goes by other names such as faux fur, soft fur jacket, sherpas, teddy coat and any fuzzy descriptive phrases.

As the teddy coat comes with a lot of versatility, allowing for any person to incorporate their personal touch, influencers and celebrities also manage to style theirs in their own way in order to hop on the trend.

All that said – will this trend last? I would say it will stay, for several reasons – it’s cosy, comfortable and warm – ideal for the cold months; at the same time it’s street style and fashionable; it keeps being promoted for already several years in a row, and last but far from least – it is fake leather, no animals harmed.

In the upcoming years, the teddy coat may become even more of a „classic staple“ just like the leather jacket in the past. When buying clothes I always consider if I would be able to wear them more than one season, but with this one I have no worries – I know, no matter the color or style, it will keep finding the way out of my wardrobe.

My outfit today is, of course, with a soft faux fur hooded coat in a yellow trendy color, matched with my always favourite, no matter the brand, skinny jeans from Only and a checkered dark blue shirt (again a trendy color) and black Michael Kors sock sneakers.

How to wear a rust colored sweater

Today I made my look with one of my favourite sweaters in rust color, because it’s very popular this season. This color is one of the trendiest colors in the fall/winter 2019. If such a sweater doesn’t work for you, you should be able to find something similar in that color, in a cut or fit that works better for you. Now, onto the outfit!

I love how this type of sweater looks against black faux leather leggings!

Faux leather leggings are back for the fall in new on-trend colors and prints and they
continue to be a wardrobe essential. They manage to imitate the look and feel of real leather very well and are making life a lot easier being so comfortable and versatile. I like to wear leggings with tops that are longer – relaxed sweaters like this one are just perfect.

Meanwhile this sweater would go very well also with black or blue skinny jeans.

To make the outfit really pop, I also went for black accessories – a black Victoria Secrets bag and a Gucci belt. To finish I added my comfy Zara black block heels booties.

This look would of course also work with any of these trendy colors for the sweater – mustard, olive, mocha, grey, and a happy yellow. Try it in a fashion way!
