Mint green with black

We’ve seen many different green hues this spring/summer season, but there’s one different and unique green – the pastel mint green. Looking pastel and creamy, the mint green is definitely one of the most special one in the green palette.

While there is nothing new about pastels in spring, the mint green color during the spring 2021 runways felt fresh as ever. After several seasons filled with neon colors, the muted green was really a welcome sight. Mint, aquamarine, avocado, pistachio, moss or laurel – whichever name you choose, this fashion color are on trend this spring/summer.

To be honest, the mint green color is charming, looks comfortable and matches well with many different occasions. Here I have rounded up an outfit with it – the main color is black, with the green as secondary. A Zara oversized shacket jeans shirt, short black Calzedonia biker leggings with a black Zara top, Michael Kors shoes, an eye-catching glittering Bershka belly bag and black sunglasses.

Invest in black and white

These spring/summer days, when all the shops and websites offer you a palette of sweet, candy colors, we think that our wardrobe will be the most colorful this season. Nevertheless, don’t forget that every now and then, black and white remains a classic and it always works well when you make your choice in the right cuts.

So, when in doubt, wear black and white – a black-white fashion trend is not really a trend. On the contrary – this combination always looks good and is eternal – so it’s worth to invest in, no matter if the pieces are basic or with prints. Today I decided to show you both – a basic black MONKI jeans dress with a black and white Michael Kors printed blazer. Although the weather looks already sunny and warm now, a thin blazer always comes in handy. And such a basic jeans dress is also always useful – you can wear it with or without a T-Shirt and also with leggings when the days are cold – I just love such multifunctional pieces. The shoes I choose are also multifunctional and for all seasons, with matching black and white MK print. The whole outfit I topped with a black Tally Weijl belly bag.

„Only do what your heart tells you“ – princess Diana

I believe that what we feel in our hearts appears in our eyes and the way we look. And as I feel that the spring adds new life and new beauty to all that is, I want to match the sweet blooming trees and flowers – white, pink, yellow, etc. So, I made a summer bouquet of intoxicating colors for my outfits and here is one of them – sweet pink tight fit pants with cut-outs and buckles from Bershka, a Zara white top and a Rinascimento jacket. I topped the outfit with my Michael Kors sunglasses and a small Kenzo bag, again with one of my favorite sneakers – Alexander McQueen.

Bikini Trends 2021

After so many months at home and under lockdown everyone is dreaming about a holiday. Despite the current situation we should do our best to stay optimistic and plan for some days on the beach in the summer (I had the chance to go to the beach this year already during my visit to Dubai). In that line of thought I want to share with you some bikini trends for the upcoming hot days.

Asymmetric bikini – they flow along the body and set interesting accents with unusual cut-outs or reversed straps – for instance one-shoulder or cut-outs on the waistline in pink or other „sweet“ colors.

Exotic prints in zebra, snake or leopard looks, but not in bright colors. Instead of that in pastel, toned-down colors, because that makes the animal patterns look elegant.

Multi-functional bikinis – the ones that are not only for the beach, but can also be worn on the way there or even when going out – for instance a short top with boxer pants.

But all in all remember that trendy is what fits you the best, no matter the trend – even a sweater with bikini pants, matched well, on a beautiful sunset.

Fashion in the middle of the Dubai Dancing Fountain Show

Since its launch in 2009, the Dubai Fountain show continues to be one of the main attractions in Downtown Dubai. Set on the 30-acre Burj Lake, it’s one of Dubai’s most ambitious projects which have now successfully resulted in a resplendent repertoire of choreographed aquatic performances. As the show begins, the water bursts into the air in a perfect tune to the music that is mostly timeless. Interestingly, each of the fountain shows conducted here is distinctly choreographed to a catalog of amazing musical pieces. The whole setting is magical with the exquisite views of the mighty Burj Khalifa, the sprawling Dubai Mall, and the traditional style Souk Al Bahar in the backdrop.

I have been many times in Dubai in the past and always dreamt of being able to make a photoshoot there, especially among those magical fountains. We made those great shots on a moving platform stretched in the lake itself, right between the fountains, which was amazing.

I chose this blue outfit to match the surrounding water and completed it with my currently favourite Alexander McQueen sneakers. The icing on the cake comes in the form of this cute little Kenzo bag, in a fashionway.

Dubai fashion – a fairy tale

I have already posted a lot about the Dubai Fashion Week and I think that it is time to stop now – not because there is nothing more to tell, but because everything is like a big fairy tale, that just cannot be put into just a few posts. The whole event is one big adventure, that can only be fully experienced when you are actually there, even though the covid-19 situation is making it very different.

Meeting new people, making new contacts and acquaintances, sharing the emotions and feelings of the attending designers and their shows – all that is just magical. Especially with most of the dresses being as if made for princesses – somehow in line with the local culture and style. Dubai itself is also magical and adds to the whole experience, being very different to Europe.

On the third evening of the IFWD I wore this pretty wine-red dress – one more piece from my collection – again very simple, but still eye-catching.

Casual outfit, jogging style

Casual, comfortable and careless – this could be an outfit with jogging pants.

It always makes me very happy when an ongoing trend is also a very comfortable one. If it was up to me I would wear my comfy hoodie every day when going out, especially in winter. So the currently trendy jogging outfits fit me perfectly, now that everyone is wearing them casually on the streets and not just at home.

But is it o.k. to just go out like that? Yes, of course and today I am showing you one such outfit. I matched a trendy light mint jogging pants with the same top, a teddy coat and Nike sneakers. It’s not only comfortable, but also trendy in a fashionway.

The shacket

The oversized shirt jacket or shacket, similar to a blazer, has probably been all over your social network feeds and for good reason, too. This easy-to-wear style is just perfect for your winter/spring layering outfits.

Often seen in plaid or buffalo check, this is one of the season’s most seen over clothes.

When styling the shacket, think of it like a blazer. It’s a good idea to keep it oversized and layered it over a turtleneck top. I love my blue shacket from Zara in this oversized-look and wear it with slim fit faux leather pants, denim or leggings, matched with turtleneck sweaters or turtleneck tank tops. This outfit I finished with my favourite black combat Zara boots and a stylish Fendi black bag, in a fashionway.

Black at any time, in any combination

You can wear black at any time, at any occasions and in any combination.

No matter the time of the year I always have a lot of black pieces in my outfits, mainly because they are really easy to match. Honestly, in the past, the black color was predominant in my wardrobe, but the more I followed the fashion trends, the more I reduced it. And not only because of those trends, but also because I realised how beautiful colors could be – colors that I previously thought would not fit me. In fact I also found out something more – we wear the colors that match our mood. Maybe that was the reason that for a long time I was hiding behind the black color. But step by step I changed that, albeit even today, when in doubt, I choose black.

In this outfit I went for a trendy black hoodie with pleats on the back, a black Pimkie booties, a black Valentino bag and a black winter cap, matched with a long beige Zara coat and gray Gucci jeans. So although the black pieces are dominant, adding some fresh colors make the outfit looking nice in a fashionway.
