Transparent dresses

The spring/summer season 2021 brought a lot of fashion trends but there is a very popular and eye catching one that is here for some time now – the transparent dresses. This is a relatively new trend, carefully crafted by stylists and designers and represented by many models.

This clothing made of luminous thin fabrics is perfect for the lovers of evening looks – elegant styles were developed for them, mostly floor-length. The dresses can be completely made of translucent fabric, with or without lining, with individual elements or inserts of the material. And this style is not only formal – transparent dresses are also nice for the everyday and can be successfully worn in hot weather or for a walk. It is such an outfit that I want to show you today – this MONKI light pink dress, matched with black Calzedonia underwear, Bershka strappy sandals and a small cute black H&M bag.

An easy look with a little black dress

I like very much this formula – a little black dress + a pair of favorite shoes = ready to go.

Like almost every woman I am very squeamish about my look no matter where I’m going. But very often I just want to put a piece and go out. For such occasions, when the time is short, I always use my secret formula – a little black dress or a tunic plus a pair of shoes and I’m ready. Black, because the black color fits almost everywhere and a dress or tunic because it‘s easy to wear, simple and unpretentious.

For today’s look I chose a Zara straight, simple black dress and matched it with a pair of nice Michael Kors heeled booties. So, with those two opposites – simple (the dress) and chic (the pair of shoes) I made a quick, eye-catching look in a fashionway.

Fashion weeks

Every fashion week around the world that I attended was an event that gave me a great deal of energy. With all the fashion weeks I was at, this one in Dubai was something different and unique. Because it’s not only about the fashion – It’s an amazing feeling to meet different people with the same interests, to get to know the different culture and customs and feel the overwhelming fashion mood. It’s really a great feeling to share the experience of a collection made with love being presented. Some of the collections I was mostly excited about were: Katrini, 1ONE, Bodo , Sposa, Two Kids, Stada boutique and Waletty.

As for the outfit today – I am wearing one of my fashionway dresses – one that is perfect for the summer and the sea coast.

Let’s shine bright meeting the 2021

The 2020 year was not shiny or bright, but I want to meet the 2021 looking that way, and hoping that everything will be better. My mood in the last day of the old year is shining because tomorrow is the first page of a 365-page book and I want to write it in the best possible way.

The new year marks a new beginning, new adventures to enjoy and memories to create. Here’s wishing you the happiest new year ever, of course in a fashionway.

Cute dress and casual plain boots

A pair of boots are year-round wardrobe staples both for warmer or cold months – from classic white boots to the over the knee ones. Such are the timeless combat boots – a season-less pair which work with any outfit – even with a nice dress.

I have always considered that a nice black dress matches in the best way with heels but depending on the occasion it can work great with boots too. As I am so much in love with my super comfortable MONKI black boots (that I featured in an earlier sports outfit post), this time I rounded up another style of outfit with a black Zara flounce, volan dress of course in a fashion way.

There’s nothing like a pair of chunky black boots to add some edge to a cute dress.

Summer vibes with a lovely salmon pink dress

Honestly I have many dresses in my wardrobe and wear them only when the occasion demands it  – I usually prefer to wear casual comfortable outfits, but this salmon dress I fell in love with. It’s perfect for summer events when you want to have a stylish and sophisticated look, but also works great for everyday use because of being both short and long (at least from one side) at the same time.

So, when in doubt if to choose a middle long or a short fairy dress for the summer just pick up such a 2-in-1 solution – it’s really practical but meanwhile eye catching, believe me.

I love dresses that are thin and delicate and this piece gives me exactly this feeling. The fit of this dress is between a fit and flare and shift dress. I think the overall shape is so flattering. I kept my jewellery, shoes, and clutch minimal and neutral to really let the beauty of the dress shine.

In addition the salmon color itself brings thoughts of the sea, sand and the salty breeze, which brings great summer vibes, in a fashionway.

Austria’s Glorious Balls

Every winter, Austria hosts hundreds of classy ball nights – nowhere are balls so romantically formal as in Vienna.

Over 400 of them are staged each winter, strict dress codes, an opening fanfare, the entrance of the debutants and debutantes and the call „Alles Walzer!“ (literally: “Everything is waltz!”) are all part of a classic ball. Balls open usually with a Polonaise and punctuated by speeches, etc.

In the past wearing of masks and costumes was reserved for the nobility. To compensate for this, Emperor Joseph II opened up the dances in the Redoute Rooms in the Hofburg palace to everyone. This allowed the Viennese to copy the courtly customs of these celebrations, something which they retain to this day.

The waltz, being a partner dance, was initially perceived as a provocation, and caused moral outrage. The Vienna Congress (1814/15), meeting in the city to establish the new order in Europe following Napoleon’s campaigns, made it acceptable via the salons.

The balls today have kept a lot of the traditions of the past, while at the same time adapting many modern elements – like performances by professional dance groups and celebrities, charity campaigns, etc. It was a charity ball in the Viennese Hofburg palace that i was at – the 14th Dancer against Cancer Ball. From the opening with the debutants and the „Alles Walzer“, through to the modern dancing performances, the whole show was full of variety.

I am sharing with you some photos from this fabulous event. I was wearing a black and white dress, shoes and bag, trying to blend in with the waltz couple’s monochrome colors.

Collective Courage – Crossover Christmas get-together

The end of the year was such an emotional time for me, full with events. It is also the time when we tend to remember the good things that happened to us through the passing year and one such event is what I want to share with you now here – the Collective Courage Crossover Christmas get-together in Vienna.

Friends, business partners and celebrities gathered for this wonderful occasion to celebrate Christmas together and to present themselves. So, I was given the chance to present something myself, too. Next to promoting my blog I also chose to present the marvellous new collection from my very good friend and a great designer from Bulgaria – Gergana Apostolova from Kiara Fashion. Her magnificent dresses can make any woman wearing them feel like a princess. I wore two of those during the show next to miss Burgenland Miriam Millonig who was also fascinated by them.

A classy fabulous orchid dress

We are always on the go, and often it’s hard to keep up with the latest looks and trends. But a fairy, thin, floral dress is an option just waiting to jump into your closet. This Kiara Fashion dress is the look that will take you from blah to bold, to classy and fabulous.
With such a dress you can find the right way to rock your personal style with class. I’m not a fan of glaring outfits, but this one in particular hits the sweet spot between being too chic and simple. I always liked Orchids and this dress warmed my heart, in a fashion way

Hot pink dress in the hot summer

I love the hot summer weather – I’m a real summer child and would like that the summer never ends so I can endlessly wear my summer outfits.

My outfit today is a wonderful dress from the fashion brand „Imane“ with head designer Antoniya Stoyanova who was the designer Nr. 1 for 2018 in Bulgaria. They offer women’s clothing on par with the latest world fashion trends. The collections cover both every day as well as evening attire – they have something for everyone and for every taste – classic, extravagant or casual.

I am so happy to wear this great dress with airy, light and freely falling material which is so comfortable to wear, especially on hot days. At the same time it makes you look super elegant and feminine, perfect for a day out.

I wear it with a matching ? cap, one of my favorite Steve Madden block heels ? from Humanic and a transparent watermelon ? formed bag, as the transparent bags are a total trend this summer.
