One way to style an oversized sweater

Big and baggy sweaters are all the rage this season. I would like to show you one way to wear such a sweater without looking as if you are swallowed by it.

When choosing such sweaters we think that „the bigger and baggier, the better“, but actually that is wrong – if it’s too big we will start looking like a huge sack. If we want to be chick and trendy, we should make good size decisions and stick closer to our standard size for sweaters, because they are anyway purposely designed to be oversized.

As an oversized knit will inevitably make you look bigger than you actually are, the easiest way to solve that is to combine it with form-fitting or narrow bottoms – for instance skinny jeans, leggings, narrow pants, over-knee socks or over-the-knee boots. I personally prefer to wear it on its own without pants or leggings below it.

And to avoid getting lost in this big clothes, we should show some skin – might that be a more generous décolletage or some bare leg.

I combined my oversized black sweater with a pair of black over-the-knee boots. This I matched with my favourite NA-KD coat and some black accessories – a H&M cat hat and a black smiley Bershka bag, in a fashionway.

Fluffy coats weather

Cold weather and fluffiness somehow go hand in hand. Moreover a fluffy coat ist not only warm and cozy but also very trendy and you can match with almost everything.

I feel effortlessly chic in this winter outfit today. Pairing a large black faux fur coat with a winter cord shirt, a Pimkie checkered skirt, Calzedonia leggings, chunky black Balenciaga ankle boots and a matching sweet Elisabetta Franchi small bag. And although I am not a huge fan of beanies, this black one with a gold snowflake fits the weather and the outfit nicely. Thus, I’ve achieved a casual glamour look and I love it!

Stay true to myself

I always try to stay true to myself and to my style – I love the sport-elegant style – being elegant while casual, without loosing on comfort. The outfit today is a fine example of that – cycling shorts with a stylish blazer.

Not everyone likes, or is eager to wear cycling shorts in daily outfits – myself, when I discovered the trend last year, was also not so enthusiastic, but nowadays I enjoy it very much. As I often said here, I am a huge fan of cream colors, so it is no wonder that I chose to wear beige shorts. To keep it classy I matched a long white cream blazer and a black top. To complete the outfit I went for black block heeled shoes and a Louis Vuitton bag, in a fashionway.

Pink, pinker, pinkest – Pinko

The pink panther is a TV character from my childhood known also as “Pinko”. Since wearing Pinko brand clothes and accessories some years ago, I always related the two. For that reason my post today is in front of this fantastic graffiti which fits the cool pinko bag „love me tender“. As the bag itself is unique and the highlight of the outfit, the rest of my look is in simple black and white – a basic Zara T-shirt with padded shoulders, black short pants and a La Bottine pantolettes, matched in a fashionway.

Oh summer, I just love you!

Summer, sun, wind in my hair, smile on my face, what else? Heart full of love, eyes full of joy and outfits full with fresh colors – that’s my vision for the summer. And although it is the pastel colors that dominate this summer, I decided to go with these fresh ones  today – just like my mood is. Yellow like the shining sun on my smiling bag, red, because nothing attracts attention like red and a lot of pink roses spread on a fairy tunic. The jeans shorts just match the blue sky and the white color the clouds above. So my outfit today matches the sunny summer day, in a fashionway. Which are your summer sunny colors?

A cardigan is always a loved piece

As the weather in may still varies a lot, a light cardigan is always a good piece to have around. But being very comfortable, a cardigan can also be very tricky and can easily ruin our outfit – that’s why you should know how to wear it without looking funny and frumpy.

The first thing is to figure out the style and length of the cardigan that fits best your body type. As with everything else about fashion, women’s bodes are different, so certain styles would be more flattering on some than others. That’s why you should learn what works best for your own body.

And it’s good to wear form-fitting clothes underneath a cardigan, or tight or belted dresses. Especially if the cardigan is a bit slouchy, you have to make sure the silhouette underneath it is form-fitting, otherwise you might look larger than you are.

The next thing to pay attention to is the fit of the arms – my favourites are the ones that have skinnier arms and feel the most slimming.

Also, feel free to show some skin – especially when most of the rest of your body is covered up. It’s more about what you put under your cardigan than the style of the cardigan itself. For example – if you combine with a turtleneck top – choose a sleeveless one, with open shoulders or collar bones. If you wear a normal shirt don’t cover the neckline with a scarf – show some skin instead.

In all that you should still pay attention to the current trends – right now, open cardigans are pretty hot – with holes, semi-transparent and with a different length on both sides.

I chose a holed pale pink cardigan, matched it with a black sleeveless turtleneck top underneath and skinny jeans. Of course, I can’t miss the accessories because they complete the outfit – a long necklace and earrings with a matching bracelet, sunglasses and a bag and shoes with the same colors and details.

A pink blouse with puffy sleeves

I seriously cannot believe how quickly the first months of the year flew by and it’s already real spring. However, I am looking forward to warmer temperatures and summer outfits. This sweet pink blouse with puffy sleeves is a great top to transition you from winter into spring, and I would always wear it with a nice skirt and cool tights. This trendy Monki pink top combined with the hearts details on the Calzedonia tights and the Love Moschino bag are giving me life right now. And not only them. Today is a great sunny day in which you don’t need a coat or thick clothes and I’m pretty happy about that! Plus, I enjoy everything around – the singing of the birds, the gentle spring breeze, the smell of the blooming nature and the sight of everything in green – the trees, the grass…

How I stay positive and calm

People ask me all the time – how do you manage to stay so positive and calm? I am usually not writing about such topics, but having in mind the whole situation with the Covid-19 virus now, I decided to lay down some words on this question.

We often look at the world and consider it as negative. That’s not surprising, because just taking a glance at the news media could make the steadiest person depressed. Or looking around and realising how often people say dumb things about each other, how some show their jealousy and hate – it happens everyday and everywhere. But calling the whole world negative would be a misjudgment. It will only cause frustration which makes you even more angry and unhappy.

If you blame others for your negative feelings, nobody would hear or know about it – it would be only you who suffers. But if you try to blame yourself for your own negative feelings, you are making a step ahead ot at least make progress. But to really stay positive stopping blaming is the wisest thing to do.

Some of the other things that make me positive are. First – I don’t take everything personally – we very often analyse every single word people say or things they do, but all that is not always personal. Second – I let my feelings out and say what I think. Our Life is basically one challenge after the other and very often we keep our feelings “in a safe place” – inside ourselves. I try to not keep inside feelings like anger, frustration and anxiety on one side and joy, happiness, loveliness, etc. on the other. Third – I learned to be grateful about everything, good or bad, because even from the bad you can learn good lessons. And last but not least – if you want to be positive don’t stay on the same spot for too long and constantly work on yourself and follow your dreams, because if you do, you know that you have a chance to improve your life. And to me, that’s the best use of my time and energy. Also never forget to give your love even to people that don’t like you.

At the end I want to share this great quote: “If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.”/Napoleon Hill/ – doing small things in the right direction, will for sure make you feel better.

Just a few words about the outfit that goes with this post – a sweater in one of the 2020 colors – blue, combined with white and black, matched with one of my favorite Calzedonia faux fur leggings, Michael Kors booties, trendy black sunglasses and a Diana&Co Firenze Italian bag

My favorite Mickey makes me always happy

When I found this cool Iceberg sweater I had to immediately make a full outfit with it. I have put in it the two things that I love the most – my favorite hero Mickey Mouse and the combination of black and white.

I matched this sweet top with a pair of black Calzedonia faux fur Leggings, Michael Kors Olympia textile sock booties, a black Parka coat and a fluffy, soft, black and white Chanel bag. Meanwhile when I put on those booties for the first time, I had a feeling they are huge and way too sporty (due to the big sole) – but in reality they are extremely light and unbelievably comfortable. I am wearing them most the time now (you are likely to see them in my further outfits).

It may sound strange, but always when I‘m wearing my favorite Minnie or Mickey Mouse, I‘m feeling like a happy kid enjoying his ice-cream or chocolate.

So who is your favorite character, which you would wear a clothing item with?

Pretty with pink

Pink – right now a color with all sorts of trendy connotations. Pale pink, normal pink , girly pink, piggie pink, neon pink, millennial pink – for some time now almost all I see is pink. Millennial pink, to be more precise. It has come to a point where I’m starting to somehow like it. Maybe I’ve become infected?

As I have found out, millennial pink is the color of millennials. Come to think of it, I would say that the clues were there all along. Pink as a little girl, pink in my teens and now – pink everywhere around me and especially on Instagram – nevertheless I never got tired of it and love it all the same.

Contrary to the piggy and girly pink of the recent ears, the millennial pink is a pastel tone with a touch of peach and a slight salmon shade.

The pink, being millennial or other type, I like wearing in any combination, but never being dressed fully in pink like a big pink candy. I like combining this sweet color with some other colors – for instance with white like here and accented accessories. I choose the jeans ones, namely jeans over-knee boots and a jeans bag.

As you already know, I love animals and for this shoot a dog of a friend of mine posed together with me – of course also dressed in a trendy millennial pink jacket. We looked so well together that people who saw us came to us asking for which media we are making the shoot, so I even had to sign some cards :).
